Is it Scripturally alright to be baptized by immersion as many times as possible?

Why are people not responding to this post?

    My Opinion

If we can answer these questions sincerely then we will know the stand of the Scriptures on Baptism?

    Why are we baptized?

How many times was Jesus baptized?

How many times were the Apostles baptized in the Bible?

Is Baptism part of the criteria to make it to Heaven?

What is the significance of Baptism to our eternal value?

    Does Baptism eqaul holiness?

If only we can provide answers to these questions then we will be able to know what Baptism is all about and also we will be able to know how many times we are to be baptized before our can be acceptable. Additionally, we will know that Baptism is unto the Lord Jesus and not a denominational thing.

    Thanks and God bless us.

Please, as the matter of knowing our position in the ministry, we need the authority in RCCG to address this quetion once and for all. God RCCG.

To resolve this important issue, especially in RCCG, the highest authority of the Church must give the right directive on water baptism. How many times? And is it a criterion for ordination? The subject should not be allowed to linger endlessly without solution so that members will know this as a firm doctrine. The overidding fact to me is genuine repentance whether you are immersed in water 2million times, without genuine repentance all are fluke. Obtaining or showing certificate is just to ascertain the claim of water baptism. This should not however prevent someone from beign ordinated unless there are other reason(s) and it must be made known other than baptism.

    • I have been baptised by immersion in the Roman Catholic Church but now i have been touched the power of God whilst attending and as a regular member of the congregation of the Christ Apostolic Church and the Surrey Dock Branch. One of the juniour Pastors told me about that time that i do need to be baptised by immersion and my senior pastor knows about this blessing of God upon my life, that i entered The True Power of God but they left me and thinking that i was to be left stranded; but the Holy Ghost revealed to me when i was left abandone and feeling completely broken down, that;Leave him alone and i will see you through every difficult situation and to the end.  I was practically chased out of that church congregation through a heavy spiritual battle that i was always in experience.  So a new born again and without no pastor pastoring me or a sheep without no sherpherd.  My ordination is not from man but it is from the Almighty God which all men and women that are really the true men amd women of God should be pleased to celebrate God for HIS mighty Wonder Working Power of such that HE did upon my life.  I have been believing God and as of today i am still blieving in him to walk me through to the end of this christain journey.  It is well and as i know that, with HIM i shall finished it all that He want me to do for HIM.
    • QUESTION FROM THE SOUL THAT CONCERN- What is happenning in some churches today? As leaders of some churches as they are not at all proving the CHRIST DOCTRINE but only the Godly and spirit filled will be able to discern the evil actions of those antichrist christains out there.  In deed God is our helper and may HE help us all in the name of Jesus. Amen.

To me, i fill its not necesssary for one to be baptisted by immension more than 1 time, but pls consider this, bible say subject to authority, were the G O wants it so,so be it becos were der is law der is sin,so we should stop asking y and do wat GO says,if we dont lik it then look 4 another denomination ,which is better dan disobeying the man OF GOD

RCCG, possibly that's why you keep having low membership because of all these unnecessary rules which you make.  Christ said baptize them in the name of  the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and that's final.  If a person went through immersion baptism why should it become an issue if he or she was baptized before coming to RCCG?  Please lets follow what Christ requests us to do.

Baptizm should be once and final.  There are a lot of traditions in in RCCG, which end up chasing members away.  Pliz focus on Jesus not these traditions just like the head scarf issue which goes on in some RCCG churches.  By the way, does Pastor Adeboye know this slavery being introduced in some RCCG parishes by the so called leaders.
